Have you seen the TV show "Who do you think you are?" Or perhaps the TV ads for Ancestry.com? Now you can begin your own family story in a similar fashion.
In this 3-hour session, you may uncover lines of your family that you never knew about. You bring to the session as much as you know about your family such as parents and grandparents names, birth dates and locations. The session can be one in which you work together with the researcher for a few hours, or the researcher can work by herself on your family line, whatever you prefer. The resources used in this session include US census records, birth and death records, marriage data, ship passenger lists and more. The product of this session will be all the information that is uncovered and can be formatted into a printable family tree if you wish.
This is also a GREAT GIFT for parents, aunts and uncles.
NOTE: This is meant for beginner or intermediate genealogy research and will work best for those families of European descent who have been in America for at least a few generations. If your family profile does not fit this, you may not have as much success in the results. The session does not include genealogy software or a subscription to any genealogy data service.
